On the photo we see the outside of a snackbar. A typical Dutch fastfood place. It might take a connoisseur of Dutch snacks, but if one looks closely, one might recognize some of the all time favorites; meatballs, a croquette roll and a ‘frikadel’ ( a minced-meat hot dog according to my dictionary) And off course, Sateh. Another typical Dutch snack. I mean just as typical Dutch as a real American Pizza. Or like the typical Dutch things Adam Curry named in an interview once , when he was asked which three things he missed from the Netherlands while being abroad. The cliche Delfts Blue and Licorice were the first two things. But then for the third one he had to think for a little while, and yes this is really what he said, the other typical Dutch thing he really missed in the States was: Shoarma. “origineel waar“
