We do have a big problem in integrating newcomers in our society. It is hopefull that people from Surinam, a former Dutch colony seem to have found their way up on the ‘social ladder'. There is a blooming middle class. Before its independence in 1975 the bright children came to follow secundary education in the Netherlands. Just before the independence a lot of people decided to move to the Netherlands definitively. This doesn’t necessarily mean we socialise alot though. Food and taste have mingled through the range of foodstores and market stalls. This shop sells all you need for the Surinam kitchen and lifestyle. As Surinam is a people mixed by migration in itself from Hindo to African and Carribean.
MMMMMMM by the way when do you stop to be a newcomer?
