They take our taxes

Ramallah -  Out of this money machine you get Israeli shekels because that is the official currency here. That puts Israel in a position to control the economy here as they give out  the money. Moreover Israel collects the taxes of all import in Palestine. To give back to the Palestinian Authorities after having subtracted what they consider as their costs. In that way the Palestine pay for their own occupation. Is what the Dutch economist in my hotel told me. The economist is checking where the European donor money given to Palestine goes. He is very positive about the quality of the emerging state.
