Sao Paulo -  Tietê river. Main river crossing the city of São Paulo. Was canalized in the process of urbanization and construction of riverside express road. During rain period could occur overflowing of its waters, causing inundation around the city. Until decade of 1970 was utilized as boat race lane, today exist projects to eliminate pollution and make it navigable.
