The workers

Rotterdam -  When I arrive in the Tarwewijk early in the morning I see groups of dark hooded men standing in the cold under the flyover from the metro station Maashaven. They look like homeless people, some with plastic shoppingbags in their hands. Within a short time I notice how minivans and cars collect the workers to transport them to their temporary jobs in the harbour, at buildingsites, in the glasshouses or to their cleaning jobs. Half anhour later the place is empty again.
